KATHMANDU, June 19: A team of Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested 36 doctors who had been adopting medical profession on the basis of 'fake' academic certificate.
The names of those arrested were made public on Sunday.
The arrest was made following an investigation by Nepal Medical Council (NMC) and Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB).
Among the arrested, 30 males and 6 are females.
CIB informed that an investigation is underway after seeking judicial custody from Kathmandu District Court.
Preliminary investigation reveals that 35 out of 36 had joined the job showing duplicate certificates obtained from different schools of Indian state of Bihar.
