KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Private airlines have decided to increase the airfare in the domestic sectors, starting Monday.
The companies said they had to increase the fare due to increment of price of air turbine fuel (ATF) by Rs 5 a liter by Nepal Oil Corporation on Thursday.
Airlines Operators Association of Nepal, the umbrella organization of airlines, on Friday decided to increase the fare ranging from Rs 75 up to Rs 355.
"We have decided to increase the fare in accordance with the ceiling set by the government. We will submit the rates to the Civil Aviation Authority Nepal (CAAN) on Sunday for approval," Ghanashyam Acharya, spokesperson of the association, told Republica.
