Addressing a public programme organized by Bhaktapur municipality here on Wednesday, leader Bijukchhe further said people themselves should come up with action against the employees, who do not often give due importance to people’s works, even if the state did not take any initiative. [break]
‘The employees receiving benefits and perks by merely signing on the attendance record and restraining from providing timely service to people should be punished’, Bijukchhe added.
Ex-mayor of the municipality, Prem Suwal complained that locals here have been panicked due to no proper drainage management in Bhaktapur, adding there surfaced a heavy loss of revenue when big businesspersons are not paying off taxes to the municipality.
Executive Chief of the municipality, Gopal Prasad Regmi commented that it is the weakness on the part of employees for not being able to deliver works as per the people’s needs.
In the public hearing programme, local people vented ire to the municipality for only delegating budget to Khwapa college and ignoring basic services to general public.
