KATHMANDU, Jan 27: The Central Committee meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists (FONIJ) held at its central headquarters in Anamnagar has decided to hold its sixth federal general convention on April 7-8.
Held under the chairmanship of organization’s President Danda Gurung on Saturday, the plenary meeting also formed various sub committees for the preparations of the convention.
According to a press release issued today following the meeting, a 39-membr main organizing committee has been formed under the coordination of President Gurung.
Similarly, general convention advisory committee comprising CC members, finance management committee, representatives’ management committee, publicity committee, guest and stage management committee have also been formed to successfully hold the convention.
FONIJ General Secretary Gajurdhan Rai had submitted an organizational report while Treasurer Tekraj Thami submitted the organization’s financial report at the meeting, said the press statement.
