KATHMANDU, Sept 13: A faction of leaders led by Bishnu Aryal of CPN-ML (Socialist) Tuesday registered an application at the parliament secretariat demanding annulment of the membership of two lawmakers -- Yadubangsha Jha and Tilak Bahadur Thapa Magar -- from the party. Sudarshan Kuikel, assistant spokesman at the parliament secretariat, said Speaker Subas Nembang forwarded the case to the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) to study the case immediately. [break]

Leaders from the faction demanded action against the two stating that the party had already taken action against the duo for their alleged involvement in activities against the party´s interest.

“We are going to file a case against Aryal tomorrow (Wednesday) for misusing the party´s letter pads," Thapa said. The CPN-ML (Socialist) that has four members in the 601-seat Constituent Assembly is a splinter group of CPN (ML).
