DANG, April 25: Police arrested at least two leaders of Tharuhat Joint Struggle Committee including central member Sharan Tharu here for vandalizing shops during their banda. Tharu NGO Federation´s member Janak Tharu was also arrested. The Tharu activists have warned of intensifying their stir, saying that the arrest has added fuel to the fire. The Tharu leaders were accused of vandalizing Ganesh Bread Factory and Kishor Electronics, among others, in Tulsipur. Police said the shops incurred losses of hundreds of thousand rupees.
