KATHMANDU,Jan 13 : Property worth Rs 3 million was gutted in a fire that engulfed Swayambhu Gyanmala Bhajan Ghar (prayer room) in Kathmandu Metropolis-17 last night.
The inferno spread at the Bhajan Ghar from the butter-fed lamps offered in the temple.
Metropolitan Police Circle Soyambhu Chief Kishor Shrestha informed that the fire destroyed handicrafts, furniture and musical instruments used for hymns.
The fire was doused by Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police and locals with the help of fire engines of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
No human casualty was occurred in the incident. RSS
