Immediately after his arrival in Kathmandu from his three-day Malaysia trip, Dahal met Khanal at the latter´s official residence at Baluwatar.
NC parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel had also met Khanal at Baluwatar in the evening.
According to Thapa, the prime minister had urged Paudel to take initiatives for the formation of a national consensus government and be flexible toward completing the peace process and constitution drafting. “You should take initiatives for national consensus and not a majority government,” Thapa quoted the prime minister.
Maoist Senior Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav had also met Khanal who is reportedly down with fever.
