Himalayan Bank opens its 21st branch

KATHMANDU, April 19: The Himalayan Bank has opened its 21st branch, in Gorahi district. Manoj Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the branch at a function on Sunday.



Speaking on the occasion, Shrestha said: “Himalayan Bank will play a positive role in developing and uplifting the traditional skills and businesses of the region. It will also give priority to exploring the possibilities of investing in the region.”



At the function, Shrestha also highlighted a new scheme that was recently launched by the bank, the bank’s “Small and Medium Enterprises Loan,” which focuses on extending loans to small and medium enterprises.



The bank has a deposit base of Rs 32.31 billion and its loan portfolio stands at Rs 24.4 billion.
