During the inaugural occasion, Minister for Youth and Sports Hit Bahadur Tamang said if youth can be roped in sports from school level Nepal can register success in national and international sports.
Similarly, Education Minister Ganga Lal Tuladhar said 33,160 schools were declared a peace zone to ensure easy learning process.
Twelve teams of the five development regions are participating in the tournament that will last till June 12.
