KATHMANDU, June 5: Employees Associations of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has started picketing the governor´s office once again, after the management failed to implement agreements reached with them.

Two employees unions of the central bank had ended the 13-day strike about a couple of months ago after the management agreed to address their demands, which included growth and adjusting salary in line with inflation and modernization of infrastructures at the central bank among others.[break]

President of Nepal Financial Institution Employees Association (NFIEA), Padam Raj Regmi said that they were compelled to launch agitation as none of their demands have been addressed so far.

“Initially, we plan to picket the office of governor for a week. We will come up with strong programs if our demands are not addressed,” he added.
