300 Biplab-led CPN cadres take away election materials in Mugu

SURKHET, May 13: Cadres Biplab-led Communist Party of Nepal(CPN) on Saturday morning have taken under control election materials including ballot boxes in Mugu district.

SURKHET, May 13: Cadres Biplab-led Communist Party of Nepal(CPN) on Saturday morning have taken under control election materials including ballot boxes in Mugu district.


They snatched election materials from the team of security staff deployed for a polling center situated at Nera Lower Secondary School in Ward-12 of Chhayanag –Rara Municipality.

According to police, a group of as many as 300 persons belonging to Biplab-led CPN took forcibly away the election materials at 10:45 am.


Four policemen and four temporary police personnel had been entrusted with the responsibility of giving protection to the election materials, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Bhim Bahadur Shahi.


The incident site is four hours walk from Gamgadhi, the district headquarters. An additional team of police personnel has been dispatched to the incident site under the leadership of Inspector Dhruba Thapa, Chief of District Police Office, Mugu, Sharada Prasad Chaudhari told Republica Online.
