KATHMANDU, March 18: A total of 30 metric tonnes of solid waste was extracted in course of the weekly cleaning of the major rivers in Kathmandu on Saturday.
As part of the 201st week of Bagmati cleaning campaign, 8 metric tonnes of solid waste was scooped out from nearby Pashupati Temple area.
Members of the High-powered Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee, Kathmandu Metropolis officials, Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Personnel, members of publics and school students in around 850 numbers in total joined cleanliness campaign today.
Similarly, the cleanup campaign was organized at Rudramati River and Bishnumati River and large scales of wastages were extracted from these rivers as well. RSS
