Netramaya Poudel, 45, of Dibyapuri VDC-5 of Nawalparasi and Prabesh Poudel, 8, of Bhirkot VDC-7 of Tanahun were killed when a Pokhara-bound passenger bus (Ga 2 Kha 2553) turned turtle at Kabilas VDC-2 along the Narayangadh-Mugling road section. [break]
50 others were injured in the incident, said the District Police Office, Nawalparasi said, adding that all the injured have been receiving treatment at Medical College and New Medical College, and Bharatpur Hospital in Bharatpur.
Likewise, 11-year-old Shiva Gautam of Dibyapuri, Nawalparasi was killed when the scooter she was traveling on met with an accident. The mishap occurred when she was returning from her maternal home in Gitanagar, Chitwan.
The scooter was driven by his maternal uncle, who along with another pillion rider, was unhurt in the mishap.
