3 killed in two road accidents in Tikapur

TIKAPUR, Dec 4: Three people died while three others were seriously injured in two different road accidents in Tikapur Municipality on Sunday.

TIKAPUR, Dec 4: Three people died while three others were seriously injured in two different road accidents in Tikapur Municipality on Sunday.


According to the Area Police Office (APO) Tikapur, two persons died when a motorcycle crashed into an oxen-driven cart at Tikapur-7 on Sunday. Locals of Bhimdutta-7, Bishnu Rimal, 21, and Jibananda Koirala, 23, died in the accident while the rider of the bike Pawan Pandey and the driver of the cart Bambar Chaudhary were seriously injured. Police have informed that the victims died during treatment at Nepalgunj Medical Hospital where the injured are currently undergoing treatment.

Similarly, Ashish Chaudhary, 24, of Tikapur-4 died after his motorcycle crashed into a parked tractor-trailer at Tikapur-4. Mahendra Chaudhary who was riding pillion on the bike suffered serious injuries in the incident and is currently undergoing treatment at Tikapur Hospital.  


Police said drink-driving was the cause in both the accidents.
