According to the district police office, Kapilbastu, those dead are Nepal Army soldier Rajan Rai, 27, who had posting at Jumla, Bina Kumari Chaudhary, 30, of Pipari, Dang and a child, whose identity is not known yet. [break]
They all died on the spot. The mishap happened when the bus rammed into a roadside stationary truck (Na 4 Kha 5168) at around 4:30 am this morning. All injured have been sent to Lumbini Zonal Hospital, Butwal for treatment. Of the injured, 11 are said to be in critical condition.
In Sarlahi, a passenger bus (Na 2 Kha 6577) headed to Kapilakot from Lalbandi was swept away by the Kalinjor river at Bohore of Parwanipur VDC. Police said all passengers are safe.
