BUTWAL, Feb 21: Two junior leaders of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) have been declared members of the new central committee (CC) unopposed under the reservation quota.
The Election Committee of the party’s ongoing general convention declared Lalit Basnet and Chudamani Jangali as the CC members as they were the only candidates filing candidacy under the quota for laborers for the two allotted seats. Basnet is the full member of the committee, while Jangali is the alternate member.

Basnet is the elected vice chairperson and Jangali is the coordinator of the Western region in the UML-affilaited trade union, GEFONT (General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions).
Meanwhile, Urba Dutta Pant has been re-elected UML CC member from Mahakali Zone. Ranju Thakur, a member of the election committee, told myrepublica.com early Sunday morning that Pant has been declared the winner after no other candidate filed their candidacy for the allotted one full CC member.
