According to police, the half burnt body of tanker owner Gopal Singh Lama of Basamadi, Hetauda-5, was taken out from the burning truck. Lok Bahadur Gurung, a police inspector stationed at Mugling, informed the two others killed were tanker hands Suresh Lama and Prakash Bista of Nibuwatar-6, Makawanpur district.

According to Gurung, Lama and Bista were burnt to ashes and the huge fire razed everything at the site. It was raining in the night and police surmise that the accident might have taken place after the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

Lama´s half burnt body has been sent to Bharatpur Hospital for autopsy. Police are investigating to establish the cause of the accident, according to Inspector Gurung.
