Amid a function in Janakpur on Saturday, Madhes Rastriya Janatantrik Party (Krantikari) led by Ranabir Singh, Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha led by Agni Bidrohi and Akhil Tarai Janatantrik Mukti Morcha led by Abinash , announced their merger with SP. [break]
SP Spokesperson Santosh Kumar Mehata said the unified party will fight for the cause of Madhesi, indigenous, Dalit and Muslim, among other marginalized communities.
According to Mehata, SP and the three armed outfits inked a seven-point deal including the unified party will integrate leaders of the armed outfits in a respectful manner.
Similarly, SP will amend its manifesto with consultations with leaders of the three armed outfits. SP will also recognize leaders and cadres of the armed outfits killed by the security forces as martyrs.
Mehata said the armed outfits merged with their party acknowledging that rights of marginalized communities can be achieved by contesting in the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.
SP Chairman Rajendra Mahato, who is also Health Minister, and senior leaders of the armed outfits were present at the function.
