Machhapuchhre Cricket Club to tour Dubai

KATHMANDU, OCt 25: Machhapuchhre Cricket Club (MCC) is set to tour  Dubai, the United Arab Emirates from 17 to 22 November 2017 as a part of their cricket development program.

The club is scheduled to play two friendly matches with local clubs of UAE at two different venues, ICC Academy Ground and MCC Ajman.

MCC will lock horns in the first match at ICC Academy Ground, Dubai against Darjeeling Cricket Club (one of the oldest cricket clubs in Dubai) on 18 November 2017.

The second match will be played against Dubai based Young Talents Cricket Academy (YTCA) at MCC Ajman on 19 November 2017.

Australia and England are next destinations on MCC's future tour calendar to provide international exposure to the Nepali players registered with the club.

Deepesh Khatri, the captain of MCC will lead the team which includes the former international player Avaya Rana, national player Sonu Tamang, Suman Udaya, Rabin Joshi, Preetam  Duwal Shrestha (ex-regional player) and Suman Chaulagain, who has already played professional cricket league in Israel.

"Just to experience in a new professional surrounding and good stadium scenario we as a club are touring UAE to give the much-needed exposure to Nepali players," said Deepesh Khatri, the captain of MCC.
