28 power pilfers arrested

CHITWAN, June, 9: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Distribution Centre Bharatpur conducted surprise checks in various areas of Chitwan and arrested 28 persons including ten women under the power leakage control campaign.



Those arrested 27 from Mangalpur and one from the municipality are kept at District Police Office, said NEA Spokesman Suresh Pundit. [break]



They were arrested by the team of Armed Police, Nepal Police and NEA staff and will be released after they pay fines as per laws, the NEA said.
