Speaking at a program organized by Republic Front, a Maoist wing, in Kathmandu, Dahal said though NC claims to be a democratic party its stance on forming state restructuring commission shows it doesn’t practice democratic values and norms. [break]
He said that his party was not against forming state restructuring commission theoretically but NC’s demand is inappropriate at the present context as state restructuring committee had already submitted its report for forming 14 federal states.
He also argued that federal states make people powerful but it would not disintegrate the country as claimed by NC and a faction of CPN UML leaders.
Dahal also claimed that his party had shown maximum flexibility for the sake of peace and constitution.
“We are the lions, but we are accompanied by sheep”, Dahal said referring to other parties. He also said it was high time that his party should roar if the present stalemate continues.
