2 pistol-wielding Kirant party activists held

BIRATNAGAR, April 1: Morang district police arrested two members of Kirant Janabadi Workers´ Party in possession of two pistols Wednesday. Police claimed they were working on a criminal plot.



Those arrested are Singha Bahadur Majhi, 37, of Letang-8, Budhabare and Purna Bahadur Begar, 27, of Phalaiya of Panchthar district. According to Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, police arrested them from Letang-8, Budhabare in Morang district.



Police said one of the pistols was American-made while another was made in Japan. Also, police confiscated eight bullets, a khukuri, mobile set, motorcycle (Me1Ka 7980), and a receipt pad of the party, among other things.
