For this, the ministry, among other works, is holding bilateral talks with other countries to find new labor destinations, and determining minimum wage as well as computerizing the Department of Foreign Employment.
Ministry´s Secretary Dinesh Hari Adhikari said that arrangement of labor attaché has been made while listing new countries for foreign employment. The government has established safe houses at UAE, Qatar and Kuwait to rescue and rehabilitate women workers stranded abroad, he said.
Relief and welfare works such as establishment of seed money fund to fight legal cases that Nepali on foreign employment are facing abroad, Adhikari said.
In an effort to formulate safe migration policies, the ministry is in process bringing in three-year strategy, he added.
