Sharma with 37 stableford points and amateurs Arjun Sunar (35), Biren Limbu (32) and Lokendra Rai (38) scored a total of 142 points to win the title.[break]
The team of pro Sanjay Lama, who earned 36 points, and amateurs Indra Rai (40), Sushila Rai (33) and Maj Gen GB Limbu (32) finished second with a total of 141 points. Likewise, the team of pro Shiva Ram Shrestha (33) and amateurs Jhuna Rai (39), Suren Rai (31) and Tendi Sherpa (36) finished third with a total score of 139 points.
Indra Rai, with 40 stableford points and Jhuna Rai, who scored 39 points, won the best individual awards in men´s and women´s sections, respectively. Sundar Rai of Dharan bagged the closest to the pin award on Hole No 17 and Phintso O Lama claimed the longest drive award on Hole No 18. The top three team pros received Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000, while the amateurs were given trophies.
Altogether 56 golfers--16 pros and 40 amateurs--including three ladies and three junior players took part in the Pro-Am event.
