According to him, any lawmaker can initiate impeachment process by informing the general secretary of the Parliament Secretariat with support from one-fourth of the total parliamentarians.

Speaker refuses to meet Bam

Meanwhile, the speaker last Friday refused to see tainted Justice Bam who had wanted to meet him.

"At first two journalists came to my chambers and discussed current politics. After a few minutes they requested me to meet SC Justice Bam for three minutes," Nembang told journalists on Monday, adding, "I declined to meet Bam citing JC´s recommendation for action against him."

The speaker, who declined to divulge the names of the two journalists, said, "I was shocked by the request made by the journalists."
