Treasurer of the NC, Bardiya, Constituency-3 Dal Bahadur Gurung was attacked with sharp knife Monday night while heading towards home on motorbike. Gurung died while undergoing treatment Tuesday morning.
Police claimed that Dhiraj Chaudhary and Bijaya BK of Taratal Village Development Committee (VDC)-1 had assaulted gurung with knife. A police team has been mobilized to search for the convicts, said Chief District Officer Benimadhav Gyawali.
Meanwhile, NC, Press Club, Human Rights and Peace Society, BP Chintan Pratishthan including other organizations condemned the murder of Gurung by separately issuing statements.
