24 fuel tankers enter country via eastern point

KAKARBHITTA (Jhapa), Oct 12: Twenty-four tankers carrying fuel entered the country via the eastern checkpoint Kakarbhitta in Jhapa Monday evening.

Of them, 22 were diesel tankers and one each was carrying kerosene and aviation fuel, according to Mechi Customs Officer Dipendra Jha.A total of 30 tankers were send to Siliguri-based Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) depot for fuel refill, 24 have already arrived and remaining six are expected to arrive by Tuesday morning, said Mechi Petroleum Dealers' Association Chair President Laya Bhandari.RSS
