DHANGADHI, Dec 16: India's Banratha-based oil depot has eased the supply of petroleum products three months after the southern neighbor imposed blockaded on Nepal.

Banratha-based Indian oil depot has started providing fuel to all the fuel tankers that had been stranded in the Indian soil since last one week.

As many as 24 fuel-loaded tankers have entered Nepal via Gauriphanta checkpoint on Tuesday. Due to the lack of sufficient number of fuel tankers only 24 to 25 takers of fuel have been imported in the region through this check-point, said Sharad Paudel, chief at NOC, Regional Office Dhangadhi.

"All the fuel tankers that reached the depot in the last one week have received fuel," said IOC regional chief.

IOC, Banratha depot had been providing only 3 to 4 tankers of fuel (10%), citing direction from the higher authority.

As many as 40, 000 liters of petrol, 300,000 liters of diesel are required to meet the consumers' demand in the far western region, aid Paudel.
