Environment for national consensus: Khanal

KATHMANDU, Oct 14: Chairperson of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal has said environment for national consensus seemed building as positive gestures of peace and constitution building got emerged in latter period.



He said oration against national consensus would be negation of peace and constitution. Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, recently, had said that government of national consensus might not be formed.[break]



Chairperson Khanal said national and international support for national consensus had been consolidated and elaborated that one of Indian representatives, in a recent meeting with him, told him that national consensus was essential.



Addressing the Greetings Exchange and Tea Program, organized on Thursday at Swoyambhu (Hotel Vajra) by CPN (UML), 15 No. Ward Branch Committee, Chairperson Khanal reiterated his stance that Nepali Congress should take back its candidacy for premiership for national unity and prosperity.



He said his party put forward the roadmap for national consensus for accomplishing the task of settling peace and drafting new constitution.



Leaders of UML Amrit Kumar Bohara, Pradeep Nepal, Astalakshmi Shakya, Jeevan Prem Shrestha and other were present in the program.
