DOHA, Dec 1: Nearly two dozen Nepali youths have been stranded without job and income in Qatar ever since they landed in this Gulf country for employment.

Karna Bahadur Pariyar, a Nepali worker here who has been helping stranded his fellow citizen, said 21 Nepalis have been left in the lurch for months.

He said Indra Bahdur Pun of Rukum recently died here in his sleep after suffering from heart attack.

"Among them, eight hail from the same village of Pun," Pariyar said, adding that their condition is pitiable.

Help is being offered for the Nepali youths left high and dry in Doha. The Nepali Embassy is contemplating possible ways to bring them out of the suffering.

On the other hand, Nepali workers working in several companies have been chipping in donation for them.
