KATHMANDU, June 9: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal hosted the 2025 K-Beauty Festa in the capital on Saturday, celebrating the rising popularity of Korean beauty and culture in Kathmandu.
The event brought together leading Korean cosmetics retailers in Nepal—Korean Beauty Point, Dream Skin Nepal, KPG-Beauty, and Prettyclick—who showcased an array of popular K-beauty products. Attendees engaged enthusiastically with special promotional offers and live product demonstrations, reflecting the strong demand for Korean skincare in Nepal.
A key highlight was the K-Beauty Class, co-organized by the Embassy and Sejong Culture Academy. Renowned Korean makeup artist and beauty YouTuber Mr. Hoseok Jung (shawn\_issure) led an interactive session on the theme “Korean Skincare,” offering hands-on training and insights into current beauty trends. The class received a highly positive response from participants eager to learn professional skincare and makeup techniques.

The Festa also featured a variety of cultural activities, including the 2025 Korean Speech Contest under the theme “Beauty” and a K-Culture Experience Zone. Visitors enjoyed trying on traditional Korean attire (Hanbok), sampling Korean cuisine (K-Food), and exploring Korean calligraphy.
In his opening remarks, Tae-young Park, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, expressed appreciation to all participants and underscored the growing impact of Korean culture among Nepali youth. He highlighted the popularity of the Korean language, K-pop, dramas, and beauty trends as a foundation for stronger people-to-people ties.
“Our Nepali friends of K-culture are civilian envoys of friendship between Korea and Nepal,” Ambassador Park said. “The Embassy will continue to support and expand opportunities for cultural exchange and cooperation.”
The 2025 K-Beauty Festa marked another successful milestone in the dynamic cultural partnership between Korea and Nepal, strengthening bilateral ties through shared appreciation of beauty and tradition.
