25 suspects in Pokhara hospital vandalism held

KATHMANDU, March 9: Police on Monday arrested two dozen youths on suspicion of their involvement in the vandalism at the Western Regional Hospital in Pokhara.

Police arrested 25 youths from different places in Pokhara on Sunday evening. Nepal Police Inspector General Ramesh Chand Thakuri on Sunday had ordered immediate arrest of the vandals.



According to police, the youths were arrested on the basis of dozens of photos taken during the incident. District Police Office in Kaski has collected more than 40 pictures of the vandalism taken by different people.



Police inspector Baburam Pokharel said four among those arrested have been identified through photos. He added that the culprits will be charged under the Public Offense Act after the investigation is over.
