KATHMANDU, June 11: Police have arrested 20 civil society leaders including Narayan Wagle and Khagendra Sangraula from Baluwatar in Kathmandu on Friday.
The civil society activists were arrested when they were demonstrating and protesting against political interference in the Medical Education Commission.
The civil society has maintained that the government is preparing to give affiliation to medical colleges despite the Supreme Court order not to do so.
