KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Police on Fri day arrested two Turkish nationals with three stags' horns from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
Turks were arrested with the rare stags’ horns while they were about to board a Turkish Airlines with flight number TK 727 bound for Stanbul from Kathmandu today.
The illegal stags’ horns were found during a departure baggage checking at the airport.
According to DIG Govinda Niraula, in-charge of TIA police, the arrested are Maharam Murja with Passport No. U 022 79791 and Kabul Jaksi Murja with Passport No. U 02290195.
The arrested have been sent to District Forest Office, Kathmandu for an additional action today itself.
Two sets of antlers were seized from the red luggage belonging to Maharamwhile the other horn was recovered from Kabul Jaksi’s luggage, police told Republica Online.
