ILAM, Nov 22: Two people have died in a road accident at Fikal bazaar in Suryodaya Municipality-10 in the district on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as 34-year-old Saroj Paudel and pillion rider Ashmita Rai, 24, of Byas Municipality, Tanahu.
The accident took place when the motorcycle, Ga Pa 483, that the victims were riding on, was hit by a truck, Me1 Kha 1942, while overtaking it.

Both the vehicles were heading toward Ilam from Jhapa.
“Motorcycle driver Paudel died on the spot while the pillion rider Rai breathed her last while being rushed to Jhapa-based B and B Hospital, said Area Police Office, Pashupatinagar.
Police said they are investigating the case after taking truck driver Lawang Lama under control.
