CHITWAN, Aug 2: Makwanpur police has arrested two persons with a leopard’s hide.
A joint team from Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police and District Police Office, Makawanpur on Sunday arrested them from Dobhanchaur of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City-25.
According to DSP Bamdev Gautam of District Police Office, Makawanpur, Sonam Thing, 42, and Nima Dorje, 48, of Gadhi VDC-2 were arrested with the leopard’s skin.
Leopards spotted in Kalikot district
Acting on a tip-off, police seized around 4 kg of leopard’s bones along with a 7ft long skin from their possession.
They have been sent to District Forest Office, Makawanpur for further investigation.
The arrested will be charged under the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act 2029.
