2 held on charge of bribery

BUTWAL, Oct 26: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested two government employees from Butwal, Rupandehi on the charge of taking bribes from service-seekers.

BUTWAL, Oct 26: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested two government employees from Butwal, Rupandehi on the charge of taking bribes from service-seekers. 


According to CIAA Spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Koirala, a team deployed from its Butwal office on Friday arrested Sub-engineer at Province 5 Education Development Directorate, Butwal Sandip Poudel and JCB Driver Bikram Basnet for taking a bribe of Rs 120,000.

Acting on a tip-off, Poudel and Basnet were held from Butwal-2, Ujir Singh Tole. 


Basnet was found to have been a middleman between Poudel and service seekers, the CIAA further informed.
