KATHMANDU, Sept 15: A meeting of the executive committee of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) on Friday recognized 2,345 additional households as beneficiaries of the housing grant.
The meeting chaired by NRA CEO Sushil Gyewali recognized those households from among a total of 13,379 applicants from 14 worst-hit and 16 partially-affected districts by the 2015 earthquakes.

The meeting also recognized 9,837 households as beneficiaries of housing retrofitting grant and 857 others as possible beneficiaries of the grant.
The meeting also decided to conduct an on-site inspection of 3,617 households that have filed applications for housing grants in 16 districts partially affected by the earthquakes. A housing grant beneficiary receives a total of Rs 300,000 in three installments, while a beneficiary of the housing retrofitting grant receives Rs 100,000 in two installments from the NRA.
