Birendra Yadav, 30, of Ramnagar, Mirchaiya of Siraha, succumbed to injuries while being taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan. Yadav was shot at while he was sleeping at home.
Police inspector Sanu Babu Thapaliya informed that Yadav was shot at during an altercation with his neighbor Devendra Yadav. Locals said that Yadav duo was in dispute for a long time.
Devendra Yadav is absconding following the incident, police said.
