KATHMANDU, July 13: Geetanjali College on Wednesday announced full scholarships to 18 footballers and an archer for grade 11 and 12. Among them, four footballers are from the national team.
Organizing a function in Kathmandu, Nabin Maharjan, director of extra-curricular activities at the college, announced the scholarships on the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti.

The college announced scholarships for national players Anjan Bista, Prakash Budhathoki, Alen Neupane and Man Bahadur Tamang and other 14 youth footballers.
Archery's national player Sunita Moktan, who is currently studying in the same college, will also receive scholarship.
College principal Rajendra Prasad Koirala said that the college has given priority to sports along with education.
Similarly, National Sports Council Vice-president Lama Tendi Sherpa, who handed over jerseys to the players, said that the step taken by the college was important for the development of sports in the country.
