With Mandarin and Far Pavilion serving Oriental and Indian fares separately and Bugles and Tigers Bar serving drinks with live music, the 6th floor of the hotel is the place to be. Focusing particularly on the corporate crowd, the buffet served at the Himalayan Tavern comes at just Rs 800 for lunch and Rs 850 for dinner, excluding taxes.

Prepared by the internationally renowned Chef Peter Gomes, who has been hailed and praised by Prince William of Great Britain and the ex-prime minister of India, Atal Behari Vajpayee, the preparations are one of a kind. With experience of over 30 years, Chef Homes is all set to change the menu at Hotel Everest, and we bring you the first peek at the delectable menu.
All of the delicacies mentioned are available at all the restaurants of The Everest Hotel.
Balti Chicken
Cooked in a very different way, the Balti Chicken, tasting like chicken curry cooked at home, has a very homely flavor. The garam masala (spices) does the trick! And the best part – it’s boneless, and you don’t have to get your hands dirty, either. “The trick behind cooking meat is that you let the ingredients soaked in,” said Chef Homes.
Rara Mutton/Lamb
The taste of this masterpiece is different but fantastic. The green chilies, clove and cinnamon add a different taste to the whole minced lamb and diced mutton, and the flavor just lingers on. You won’t need chatni when you get Rara Mutton/Lamb curry: Just perfect with some plain rice!
