“The online visa service is another commitment to the convenience Etihad offer to its guests traveling from Nepal to the Abu Dhabi and UAE,” the statement added.
Oman Air to launch Nepal flights
KATHMANDU, June 1: Oman´s national flag carrier Oman Air is set to start its flight to Kathmandu from the third week of June.
Murari Bahadur Karki, joint secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) said Oman Air will fly to Kathmandu four times a week from Omani capital of Muscat. MoTCA has permitted the airline to flying seven times a week using wide-body Boeing 737.
Nepal and Oman signed Air Service Agreement four months ago.
NS certification for Moon fittings
BUTWAL, June 1: Moon brand of pipe fittings produced by Sun Fittings has acquired Nepal Standard (NS) quality certification. The company has been rolling out Sun and Moon brands of GI pipe fittings.
Ajaya Man Shrestha, president of the company, said in a statement that Nepal Bureau of Standard and Metrology granted NS mark for the cast iron fittings of Moon brand.
The company has already acquired NS mark for Sun brand GI pipe fitting materials. It has also received ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management.
Global honor for Carslberg
KATHMANDU, June 1: Reputation Institute has ranked Carlsberg the world´s 26th most reputed company. Carlsberg is the only brewer on the list of the most reputable companies that includes major players like Google and Apple among others, Gorkha Brewery, the bottler of Carlsberg beer in Nepal, said in a statement on Tuesday.
Google topped the list followed by Sony, Disney, BMW and Daimler in the top five list.
The survey that involved more than 180,000 respondents across around the world put Carlsberg at this position of reputation. The selection was based upon a reputation pulse score where Carlsberg scored 70.31, while Google, the top rated company, scored 78.62, the statement added.
Gorkha Brewery is a joint venture with Danish multinational company.
