18 new tourism destinations identified in Gandaki

DAMAULI, Nov 6: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has chosen different 18 places of Gandaki Province as new tourism destinations for tourism development.

DAMAULI, Nov 6: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has chosen different 18 places of Gandaki Province as new tourism destinations for tourism development. 


The Ministry has selected the areas based on recommendations of Nepal Tourism Board, local and provincial governments and stakeholders as well as the applications submitted for the same.

Ministry’s Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Ghanashyam Upadhyay underlined the need to develop new tourism destinations and bring its benefits to the people’s level. 


The government through its budget document for the fiscal year 2075/76 BS had announced identifying new tourism destinations and development as its programme and appropriated budget for the same.


Here are the list of tourism destinations:  


 




  • Chumbhyali of Chumnurbi rural municipality, Gorkha,




  • Kaulepani of Lamjung,




  • Kalika Shahid, Shanti Park and Siddagufa Bhimad of Tanahun,




  • Mauja Homestay of Kaski,




  • Sickless tourism area,




  • Narfu Trail of Manang,




  • Lomanthang Palace cave area of Mustang,




  • Durlung Cannoning, caving and homestay and Mahasheela, 




  • Satau Chandikalika area, Alamdevi of Syangja, pond at Bhakunde Bhairabsthan and Dhorpatan reserve area of Baglung,




  • Daunnedevi in Nawalparasi east,




  • Ghorepani tourism area of Myagdi




  • Trekking route from Raghuganga Ruise hill to Dhaulagiri Icefall
