176 patients of COVID-19 recover today

KATHMANDU, June 20: As many as 176 patients of COVID-19 were discharged from various hospitals across the country on Saturday. With this, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has reached 1,578 of which 141 are females and 1,437 are males.

KATHMANDU, June 20: As many as 176 patients of COVID-19 were discharged from various hospitals across the country on Saturday. With this, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has reached 1,578 of which 141 are females and 1,437 are males.


According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, 26 patients from Siraha Hospital, Siraha, 41 from Isolation Center Janaki, Banke, 13 from Susil Koirala Memorial Hospital, Banke and 10 from Koshi Hospital, Morang were discharged after recovery.

Similarly, 24 patients of COVID-19 from Provincial Hospital Surket, five from COVID Special Hospital, Dang, six from Manohari Isolation Center, Makwanpur, two from Dadeldura Hospital, five from District Hospital Acham, two from  Darchula Hospital and nine from Doti Hospital have also been discharged after recovery today.


Also, eight COVID-19 patients from Provincial Hospital Dhangadhi, four from Tikapur Hospital, one from Nepalgunj Hospital, eight from Mahakali Hospital, Kanchanpur and six from Bharatpur Hospital, Chitwan have recovered and returned home.


In the last 24 hours, 7,416 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests were conducted at 24 various COVID-19 laboratories across the nation. 


The Health ministry reported 331 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
