Lachhe Chunara Kami, 72, who was erecting a hut in a public land after being discarded by his offspring, was beaten up by two Maoist cadres. He bore deep cuts in his head and hands.
The Maoist cadres had warned him to remove his hut from the land as they had set up their shops on it.
Meanwhile, Kami has filed a case against Man Bahadur Budha and Chitra Bahadur Thapa at District Police Office (DPO), Dang.
