Pashupati Shamsher Rana of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Surya Bahadur Thapa of Rastriya Janashakti Party, Rajendra Mahato of Sadbhavana Party, Harischandra Sah of Nepal Janata Dal, Kamal Thapa of RPP-Nepal, Chitra Bahadur KC of National People´s Front and Ek Nath Dhakal of Nepal Family Party gave feedbacks to the prime minister during a meeting at the prime minister´s office, according to a statement issued by the prime minister´s office.
Rana, Surya Bahadur Thapa, KC, Mahato and Sah suggested the prime minister to extend the term by forging consensus among the political parties. They said the parties need to give a convincing grounds to the people to ensure that they will produce the new constitution in the extended time.

However, Kamal Thapa reiterated his party´s stance to go for fresh elections saying the parties had no authority to extend the CA as people mandated them only for the two-year tenure.
While all other leaders advised the prime minister to extend the CA term by amending the interim constitution, Dhakal had different opinion. He suggested extending the term by declaring state of emergency in the country.
After listening to the leaders, Prime Minister Nepal told them that he is seeking solution from within the CA by forging consensus among the parties.
