KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Police have arrested the accused involved in the murder of 17-year-old Sarita Tamang in Satungal, Chandragiri Municipality-10, Kathmandu. The body of the deceased was found under the low-bed in her rental room.
Sarita has been missing since the midnight of December 14. Her brother, Nabin Rumba Tamang, had filed a missing complaint at Thankot Police Station on December 16. During the search operation, Sarita’s corpse was discovered in her rental room on December 18.

The police used crime scene investigation techniques and information to arrest the accused from a rented house located in Khadka Gaon, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14. The arrested individual has been identified as Biswas Tamang, 24, a permanent resident of Gajuri Rural Municipality-3 in Dhading.
The police recovered the deceased Sarita’s mobile phone from the accused. Sarita was the daughter of Dal Bahadur Tamang, a resident of Gajuri-9, Dhading. She was studying in Grade 10 at Bishnu Devi Shiksha Sadan Secondary School, Naikap.
The District Police Range, Kathmandu and Thankot Police Circle are continuing the investigation into the case. Police reported that strict legal action will be taken against the perpetrator.
