Industry workers injured in clash

INARUWA, March 29: Some half a dozen workers were injured in a clash at Itahari-based Rijal Tashi Industries Pvt. Ltd Monday during the industrial shutdown called by All Nepal Trade Union Federation close to Unified CPN ( Maoist) protesting the killing of its member.



Federation’s Mithila coordinator Ram Ayodhi Yadav was gunned down two days ago in Siraha.



The clash was ensued after the protestors attacked the workers saying the industry was operated during the shutdown, police said. Muna Karki, Uddhab Poudel, Bhola Prasain, Subas Dhugel, Leela Khadka and Gopal Khada are among the workers injured in the clash, according to the police.



They are undergoing at the local health institute, it is said.
