KATHMANDU, Feb 23: The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has disbursed the second installment of funds for the construction of temporary housing for earthquake affected families to the earthquake affected-families of Jajarkot and West Rukum.
An additional Rs 900 million has been released to provide the second installment. Out of this, Rs 500 million has been sent to the District Disaster Management Fund of Jajarkot and Rs 400 million to the District Disaster Management Fund of Rukum West.
According to the NDRRMA, a total of Rs 3.16 billion has been disbursed so far for the construction of temporary housing. Currently, the number of beneficiaries identified for this assistance has reached 82,937 so far.
According to the NDRRMA, 48,565 houses have already been constructed, while 7,833 temporary houses are currently under construction.
